Dr Adam Read
Adam is AEA’s Practice Knowledge Leader for Waste Management & Resource Efficiency – leading the company’s expansion in these core discipline areas, and developing the company’s technical offering and client facing programme delivery.
Adam joined AEA in October 2008 after 8 years with 2 major environmental consultancies. Adam has also spent 2 years as a Recycling Officer at the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea and 5 years as a research fellow at Kingston University.
He specialises in waste management policy development, strategic decision-making, consultation, behaviour change, procurement and training – working essentially with local and regional government clients for over 15 years.
Adam sits on the Editorial Board of a number of the leading academic journals and has spoken widely at waste management conferences.
He was voted the 13th most influential person in waste management according to an opinion poll in the journal Resource (January 2009), and was awarded a fellowship by the CIWM in 2008.
